I'd honestly like to keep my age to myself, I will however state that it's above the limit for getting a drivers license in the United States.

Hey, just because someone likes something doesn't necessarily mean that he/she dedicates his/her entire life to that one thing. I love Pokemon, but it still takes second seat to other priorities (college applications, etc.) I don't have to just stop loving Pokemon to have success in that.

19, and gengar you're a fool... if I concentrated on getting a spouse then my studies would fail. With pokemon it's like 20mins, even less, (sometimes more) a day and your set. A spouse is like constant communication (unless of course I wanted to add to the awesome divorce rates as is current trend), much less convenient at this stage of my life...

You're about to do some exams soon which determine what kind of education/job you go into now, or at least most people your age would be (I could be wrong though, the US education system is somewhat different age-wise to here in the UK).

I dunno about everyone else on here but Pokémon is just one of my many hobbies. It's fine for people over the age of 18 to have a hobby, right? I know you're only saying it as a word of advice, but I don't think people take too kindly to being told what they should be doing by someone on the internet - no less someone who, even by their own standards, are too young to worry about their future yet.

P.S: I'm twenty, in Uni and have had my girlfriend for five and a half years. Practically a spouse.

:/ It's not like an hour of playing Pokemon or so after studying is instantly going to make someone fail. I'm already done my tests and passed them all, and I play Diamond/Pearl a lot(even when I had to study).

and yep, it's just a game, I like to play it while I walk places, riding in the car, or waiting for classes to start. Also I've actually gotten two of my friends to start playing it again, because they stopped after gold and silver. So it doesn't automatically make you an failure at your social life ^_^

Plus almost every Pokemon RPG is portable, spare Colosseum and Gale of Darkness.

Since they are portable you can also go to public places to play. Then ever you send out a pokemon you can yell out, "<name_here>, I choose you!" just so every one around knows you aren't too old to play pokemon. =P

Being +18 doesn't mean that we must *only* play +18 games, watch +18 programs and so on. What it means is that we could do whatever we want!

I guess I win, I turned 30 in February. I'm married and have 2 children. My boys got me into playing the game with them and now in order to keep up with them I have to read websites like these. This is definitely one of the better ones out there and the majority of people in the forums posting are very knowledgeable about Pokemon. When I have questions I need to answer for my boys, I usually start here.

I think pokemon gets boring cause I don't like that I beated the Elite 4 at D/P already 15 times.
But I'm waiting at Platinum when does it get released in Europe?
